A little background about me...

Small Community Roots

In the spring of 1980, when Mt. St. Helens had its historic eruption, I was beginning my own journey in Oconto, Wisconsin. Raised in a true "farm-to-table" environment, I grew up tending to gardens and living with the land. This upbringing didn't just teach me hard work; it solidified my lifelong commitment to sustainability and intentional living.

The Pacific Northwest & The Craft

That cycle of growth came full circle decades later. Just as the mountain began rebuilding its crater floor in the early 2000s, I found myself drawn to its shadow in Portland, Oregon. It was here that my multidisciplinary path truly took root. In the Northwest, I began a "rebuilding" of my own-merging a new-found love for the culinary arts with formal studies in Art & Design. I spent my days on campus, at my neighbor's throwing clay on his potter’s wheel, and my nights refining my hospitality skills.

Design Meets Hospitality

My journey eventually led me back to Wisconsin, where I completed my Graphic Design degree and Web Design certificate in Madison. From there, a brief but intense stint in Miami Beach gave me invaluable experience in the hospitality & industry.

For the last 15 years, Chicago has been my home. I’ve built a successful management career in the hospitality industry, working for some of the most renowned establishments in the city. My deep knowledge of directing seasonal beverage programs is a testament to my dedication to sensory experiences and precision.

Digital Development & My Hand in Art

Everything has come full circle. I am now focusing much of my life's journey on Art and Design. This portfolio site is a return to my roots-coded from the ground up to showcase my technical talents. My new-found passion for Eco-Printing is an evolution of my love for traditional art and sustainability. I’m currently expanding this work into original gallery pieces and an upcoming online store.
